I'll stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually happening.
